Courage: Strength in the face of pain or grief. Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty to gain freedom and peace.
Grill: subject someone to intense questioning or interrogation. An abusers control tactic to gain power over their victim.
Teeth grill, grills, grillz, fronts: The history of mouth jewelry dates back centuries and continues to weave in and out of trends and cultures; allowing one to flash their passion, politics, cause, and/or style through a smile. For a survivor of violence, the wearing of the mouth jewel “COURAGE” is a golden symbol of reclaiming autonomy, speaking truth, and shining light on violence against women behind closed doors.
